The Quality Assurance Analyst reports to the Manager, Quality Assurance. This position is within Risk Management and will focus on performing quality assurance reviews on both Auto Adjudicated and Manually Adjudicated Personal Banking applications adjudicated across Canada.
The Quality Assurance Analyst will work closely with the Quality Assurance team and Manager to ensure the regular and ad hoc reviews, audit support and other deliverables are met. As the Quality Assurance Analyst, you will review Personal banking applications from lenders and adjudicators to determine if policies and general underwriting procedures were followed and underwriting decisions were made within CIBC’s Risk Appetite. This includes the assessment of required documentation, the analysis of financial documents, cash flow, bank systems, etc. and detailing of exceptions to policy. You will ensure Quality Assurance reviews are conducted as required in a timely, efficient and objective basis nationally. You will also ensure the number of files reviewed meet Regulatory, Audit and Corporate Credit Risk and other expectations.

How You’ll Succeed
- Comprehensive knowledge - Knowledge of Personal Banking operations, credit policies, including credit principles, practices, processes, products and services.
- Communication - Well-developed communication skills, verbal and written, sufficient to provide clear and detailed explanation and interpretation of information, analysis and recommendations.
- Adaptability - Ability to adapt and develop new strategies for continued efficiencies, and conceptualization of new approaches in Quality Assurance.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate experience in credit adjudication/underwriting. It's an asset if you have knowledge of internal systems such as COINS, CLASS, M-MORTGAGE, LCMS, ECIF, TARGET, ICBS, and/or CRS.
- It is an asset if you are Bilingual in English and French.
