RRBB Accountants + Advisors is an independent, full-service accounting and advisory firm specializing in accounting and consulting services for businesses and individuals. We currently have offices in Somerset, NJ; Union, NJ; Wall, NJ; Clark, NJ; and NYC, NY. Join a rapidly growing organization with a strategic vision and dynamic plan.

We are seeking a Client Advisory Services (CAS) Manager to join its growing advisory practice. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, oversee multiple engagements, provide strategic accounting and financial reporting guidance, review the work of Senior Client Advisory Accountants, and collaborate with RRBB's valuation team to deliver exceptional client service and drive the continued growth of the CAS practice.

This is not a traditional outsourced accounting role. Our CAS team partners with public and private companies on complex accounting matters, SEC reporting, technical accounting, transaction support, and strategic financial advisory services.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of public and private company clients across biotechnology, technology, manufacturing, and other corporate industries.

  • Lead client meetings and strategic discussions regarding financial reporting, accounting matters, operational improvements, and business objectives.

  • Review and oversee financial statements, reporting packages, and client deliverables prepared by Senior Client Advisory Accountants.

  • Prepare and review SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and other external reporting requirements.

  • Research and document complex accounting matters through technical accounting memorandums and provide recommendations in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Advise clients on debt and equity transactions, financial reporting implications, and implementation of new accounting standards.

  • Coordinate annual audits, quarterly reviews, and communication with external auditors, legal counsel, and third-party advisors.

  • Oversee the Valuation team on client engagements involving transaction support, valuation matters, mergers & acquisitions, and Quality of Earnings projects.

  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiencies.

  • Mentor, develop, and review the work of Senior Client Advisory Accountants while fostering a collaborative team environment.

  • Manage multiple client engagements, budgets, and deadlines while delivering exceptional client service.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

  • CPA license required (or actively working toward CPA licensure).

  • 7+ years of public accounting experience in audit, advisory, consulting, client advisory services (CAS), or outsourced accounting.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q), and technical accounting.

  • Experience preparing and reviewing complex accounting memorandums, financial statements, and reporting packages.

  • Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and serving as a trusted business advisor.

  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, or reviewing the work of accounting professionals.

  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.

  • Proficiency with CaseWare, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Office Suite.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with debt and equity transactions.

  • Experience supporting publicly traded companies and PCAOB engagements.

  • Exposure to mergers & acquisitions, transaction advisory services, or Quality of Earnings (QoE) engagements.

  • Experience working with biotechnology, technology, manufacturing, or other corporate clients.


Please Note - Work Arrangement
This role is designated as hybrid/on-site for employees located within commuting distance of our Somerset, NJ office. Candidates who reside outside the defined commuting area may be eligible to work remotely, subject to business needs and applicable employment requirements.
