Director, Sales – APAC (Compressor & Pumps)

Role Overview
The Director, Sales – APAC is accountable for orders, revenue, and commercial execution across the Asia-Pacific region. This leader develops and drives a go-to-market strategy with a strong emphasis on expanding and optimizing channel partnerships to accelerate growth, deepen market penetration, and enhance customer access across diverse markets
The role partners closely with global and cross-functional teams to ensure growth across new equipment and aftermarket, while building a high-performing, partner-enabled regional sales organization
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and expand channel partner network growth, including distributor strategy, partner segmentation, capability building, and performance management
- Deliver APAC performance against orders, revenue, growth, and commercial KPIs
- Develop and execute APAC go-to-market strategy, prioritizing channel-led coverage and market expansion
- Build strong partner operating rhythm, including pipeline reviews, forecast alignment, and joint account planning
- Drive forecasting and pipeline rigor, ensuring visibility and discipline across direct and partner-led opportunities
- Strengthen relationships with EPCs, licensors, and customers, leveraging partners to increase specification and win rates
- Lead and develop regional sales teams, ensuring alignment with partner strategy and regional execution priorities
- Partner with Finance and Commercial Excellence on pricing, margin, and deal governance
- Collaborate with operations and service teams to ensure strong customer experience and delivery execution
- Drive consistency and simplification in sales processes and tools across the region
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, trade, and ethics requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of sales or commercial experience in industrial or capital equipment sectors
- Demonstrated experience leading channel-driven growth strategies across multiple countries
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven success building and scaling channel partner ecosystems in APAC
- Strong commercial rigor (forecasting, pipeline management, pricing, deal governance)
- Experience in engineered products or rotating equipment industries
- Experience in EPC or project-based sales environments
- English required; additional APAC language capability a plus
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Experience operating in matrixed global organizations
Travel
- Significant regional and occasional global travel required
