Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the Senior Marketing Specialist is expected to coordinate and support all aspects of marketing and sales efforts by actively collaborating with marketing and sales staff within the Neurosurgery (NS) business in South Korea.

To be successful in this role, you must have good business acumen in selling and/or promoting medical devices and have a passion to initiate a marketing program. You’ll work in collaboration with key stakeholders to create synergy and contribute to reinforcing inclusive working culture.

This role is responsible for leading strategic planning and execution to drive business growth within the Neurosurgery portfolio, including intraoperative imaging, navigation, and other enabling technologies.

The position plays a key role in developing market strategies, driving commercial excellence, and leading new product launches to support sustainable business growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales team and cross-functional stakeholders, including QRA, SCM, Finance, Clinical, and Training & Education teams, to ensure effective execution of business objectives and customer engagement strategies.

A strong understanding of surgical procedures, operating room workflows, and medical device commercialization is preferred. Experience in Neurosurgery, Capital Equipment, Image-Guided Surgery, or other related medical equipment segments will be considered an advantage.

The role will engage with key opinion leaders, surgeons, hospital stakeholders, and other relevant customers to identify market opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and support clinical adoption. This position reports to the Marketing Manager and collaborates closely with regional and global marketing teams to align local strategies with broader business objectives.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Leads and coordinates product planning, product launches, product management, market development and market research activities.

  • Interacts directly with internal stakeholders to identify new marketing opportunities.

  • Works individually or with a team in recommending action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion.

  • Identifies unmet customer requirements and new business opportunities and provides vision and focus to move products from idea to market place.

  • Facilitates and coordinates marketing activities with geographic areas to increase teamwork and build partnerships.

  • Acting as liaison with information technology in identifying and resolving problems

  • Regularly review and monitor backorders to identify and analyze business impact by communication with sales team

  • Collaborate with logistics teams to understand the reasons for backorders and release plan and update with sales team

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Completed bachelor’s degree qualifications

  • Min 5 years of marketing relevant experience in the medical device industry

  • Strong and on-time execution focusses with stakeholders including Sales teams in a dynamic environment with an ability to be agile

  • Good presentation and effective verbal and written English and Korean communication skills

  • Computer and MS Office proficiency
