Yet behind our app and website is a complex engine of currencies, routes, products and features, generating terabytes of data each day.The Data Products and Insights squad is at the core of systems that store, process, and leverage data, machine learning models, and generative AI capabilities. Ultimately, this provides real-time insights and innovative ML and AI driven solutions that serve as key drivers for business growth.Your mission and role will be building and maintaining a platform that enables everyone at Wise to rapidly experiment and bring to production Generative AI based systems, providing tooling, guidance and guardrails so that teams can ensure the safety of our customers and their data. We’re looking for people who can step back and think holistically about the ecosystem, but also follow through and help implement the design; drawing on the resources across the rest of the Platform Tribe.As we grow, it is imperative to protect our customers’ money and navigate complex regulatory requirements world-wide. You will have a focus on running and maintaining services and libraries, making sure we have the right observability and service management elements in place.We need to sustain this growth by continuously iterating on the services we run, with a focus on availability, security, and ease of use. We’re looking for an engineer with relevant experience who can understand and respond to complex requirements and deliver simple solutions to help our teams achieve our mission with speed and confidence. So if you have some of those listed below and are eager to learn more we do want to hear from you!You have at least 4 years of engineering background in Python with years of experience putting solutions into production and maintaining themYou have high coding standards - understanding of test coverage best practices & the test pyramid concept, and you are well versed in writing effective, scalable and clean codeYou have experience deploying microservices to cloud based systemsYou have experience designing and implementing distributed and concurrent systems, knowing the tradeoffs between stateful/stateless and synchronous/asynchronous architectureYou have knowledge and experience with LLMs and building LLM based applicationsExperience with agentic frameworks and designing agentic-based workflowsYou have experience working with product teams helping to build out their ideas in productionYou stay on top of the latest developments and...
