Platform engineering and Cluster Resource management teams are responsible for building & managing tenants at internet scale ensuring efficient use of resources, maintaining high availability, and supporting regional convergence across Azure Storage. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.ResponsibilitiesPartners with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of scenariosLeads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platformLeads by example and mentors others to produce extensible and maintainable code used across productsLeverages subject-matter expertise of cross-product features with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project managers) to drive multiple group's project plans, release plans, and work itemsHolds accountability as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), mentoring engineers across products/solutions, working on-call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptionsProactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale and shares knowledge with other engineersQualificationsRequired Qualifications:More than 15 years of experience, including at least 10 years in technical roles involving large scale, web- based system developmentExpertise in C/C++/Java, building and deploying SaaS applications Masters or bachelor's in computer science or main-stream Engineering Experience in building high-scale transactional and data platform backed systems from scratch Comfortable with ambiguity, adaptability to evolving priorities, and the ability to lead a team while working autonomously Proven management experience with highly diverse and global teams Demonstrated ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders An ability to think strategically, look around corners, and create a vision for the current quarter, the year, and five years down the road. A relentless pursuit of great customer experiences and continuous improvements to the product. Preferred...
