As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting products and manufacturing operations throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, support new product introductions, and leverage digital technologies, automation, and AI-enabled tools to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and productivity while ensuring compliance with ISO, regulatory, and quality management requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and support products and manufacturing processes throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with ISO, regulatory, and quality management system requirements.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfers from R&D and global manufacturing sites. Plan, coordinate, and execute smooth product transfers into production.
  • Perform second-level product failure analysis and root cause investigations. Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and implement value engineering initiatives to improve product quality and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), engineering drawings, and product structures in SAP, and manage engineering changes through OCPLM (CR/CO process).
  • Provide sustaining engineering support by improving First Pass Yield (FPY), optimizing manufacturing processes, qualifying alternate components for End-of-Life (EOL) replacement, and driving continuous process improvements.
  • Lead or support manufacturing digitalization, Industry 4.0, and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, product quality, and traceability.
  • Evaluate and implement AI-enabled tools and workflow automation solutions to streamline engineering documentation, data analysis, troubleshooting, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support data-driven decision-making.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the life sciences, medical device, or regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting NPI, product transfer, sustaining engineering, and engineering change management is preferred.
  • Experience participating in digital transformation, manufacturing automation, or Industry 4.0 initiatives will be an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Good understanding of engineering change management processes, including OCPLM CR/CO workflow and SAP BOM management.
  • Experience with manufacturing digitalization, automation technologies, or low-code automation platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent) to improve engineering productivity, document review, technical analysis, reporting, or process automation is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary and global teams.
