What you'll do...

This position is for a Manufacturing Security Shift Lead and focuses on delivering the security strategy and industry best practices onsite at the BlueOval Battery Park in Marshall, MI.

• Oversee day-to-day security operations in the evenings or overnights, including managing staffing requirements, access control protocols, and CCTV monitoring.
• Assist the Security Team Lead with special projects and security initiatives, including GAO audits, daily plant walkthroughs, and proactive risk assessments.
• Monitor the work of security personnel, identifying performance gaps and providing real-time coaching or escalating issues to leadership as needed.
• Ensure strict adherence to the Manufacturing Control Reporting Process (MCRP), Security and Fire manuals, and corporate bulletins.
• May perform the role of Incident Commander for emergencies.
• Respond to emergency incidents to include medical, behavioral, fire, trespassing, accidents, suspicious activity, thefts, etc.  Escalate appropriately to the Team Lead and/or Regional Security Manager.    
• Enhance emergency response capabilities by utilizing incident response tools and through the deployment of emergency response equipment for the company or local municipalities.  
• Assist in coordinating security for VIP visits.
• Support and conduct preliminary investigations, ensuring proper escalation to the Team Lead, Regional Security Manager, or Global Investigations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with People Matters, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Safety, and other internal skill teams to resolve workplace issues and ensure alignment on security matters.
• Proactively identify physical security gaps and implement initiatives to mitigate risks to personnel and assets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal skill teams to ensure unified alignment with all security and fire related matters.  
• Maintain the highest standards of integrity by protecting company-classified information and sensitive data.

Candidates must possess full flexibility and a readiness to consistently work across all established standard, operating, and rotational shift schedules, encompassing day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

You'll have...


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in law enforcement, security or military.  
• Highly motivated, hands-on, self-starter with ability to think creatively and operate in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills (soft skills).
• Ability to multi-task, strong problem-solving, conflict management skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal, team building, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to:
o Establish priorities under changing conditions.
o Exhibit calm, rational behavior under stressful conditions.
o Administer duties and responsibilities with accuracy and attention to detail.
o Show initiative and leadership.
• Available to work 24x7, 365 days a year.
• Current Michigan CPL or the ability to obtain one prior to start date.  
• Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills; ability to navigate department technology platforms.

• Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• CPR/AED certification.
• Knowledge of Global Security, site security and fire operations.
• Possess a working knowledge of emergency response levels.
• Deliver results according to the Ford OS Behaviors.
• LEOSA Certification

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.     
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
