Reporter – Adams MultiMedia
Adams MultiMedia is hiring a reporter to work out of our Fort Atkinson and Watertown, Wisconsin offices.
This position primarily focuses on coverage for the Daily Jefferson County Union in Fort Atkinson and Jefferson, but the ideal candidate will be able to handle both community coverage and municipal government across all four corners of Jefferson County.
Knowing not just what is happening across Jefferson County, but why it's important and how to break down both sides of that coin for the general audience is a crucial skill for this reporter. You will be working alongside a Jefferson County Government reporter, as well as teams from our sister papers covering some of the communities in the county.
A journalism degree or professional reporting experience is preferred, but we recognize that those qualifications are secondary to the hunger needed to dominate a beat. Skills desired include photography, social media, and a personality that encourages sources to open up. Most important is a can-do attitude and a desire to expand your skillset. Adams MultiMedia is dedicated to helping our reporters develop.
Strong performers will have the opportunity to shape their beat, and also to contribute to other titles in our region.
AMM publishes eight titles in Southern Wisconsin. In all of our communities, readers want useful, local content that enriches their lives and their communities. We need stories about our neighbors, our businesses, our governments and local trends.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Please submit a resume and cover letter.
We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
