Amex Offers Marketing Operations (AOMO), part of Amex Offers Digital Media (AODM) is a global organization that sits within MEMBERSHIP PORTFOLIO SERVICES (MPS) within the US Consumer Services Business. MPS is responsible for developing and scaling several growing businesses that are strategically important to American Express. We are developing unique and differentiated ways to strengthen the Membership Model by connecting Card Members with Merchants that create opportunities to help drive our growth over the mid-to-long term.

Purpose of the Role

The analyst will be expected to execute and deliver Merchant Data Validation as well as manage Investigations/Complaints for US market (includes US & global offers). The incumbent will also be expected to get cross skilled on other regions for BCP purposes. The analyst will work with stakeholders across AODM, global marketing partners and other key stakeholders to support various commercial and customer priorities, while delivering marketing excellence, and powering growth.

Responsibilities of Role:

  • This B30 analyst position will be expected to execute flawless merchant data validation for US Amex Offers, partnering with regional GMNS stakeholders to deliver the offers within defined SLAs, ensure consistent interpretation of standards, and manage escalations in the most efficient way.
  • Play a key role in driving efficiency, standardization, accuracy, risk reduction through automation/AI in the campaign execution process.
  • Timely execution of change requests applicable to the offers construct.
  • Manage stakeholders, streamline the process, drive process transformation using AI and other enterprise technologies.
  • Perform quality review of all the components.
  • Contribute towards AODM/AOMO leadership goals and drive positive team environment by involving in any of the existing colleague engagement pillars
  • Should have an eye for detail and be adept at problem solving
  • Must possess effective collaboration and communication skills and should be able to work independently and as a team.

Skills

 

  • Experience in Amex Acquirer/Network data including; Merchant Data (Demographic, Financial, Organizational etc.) is strongly preferred
    • 3 to 4 years of similar role with a proven track record
    • Fair knowledge of marketing execution platforms/databases like MLE, LUMI, MSSS, MIDAS etc.
    • Excellent communication & presentation skills- Ability to clearly communicate complex messages, both in writing and verbally
    • Ability to interpret and understand business needs. Hands-on experience of creating Dashboard on Sales Data via Power BI, Excel and PPT. Advance excel knowledge is a must.
    • Demonstrates analytical and systematic approach to problem solving- Knowledge of advanced excel, VBA, Tableau, Python, SAS highly desirable
    • Ability to execute and collaborate across teams for timely delivery of all goals
    • Knowledge of Marketing Campaigns/ Email marketing / Digital Marketing- Preferred

       

Qualifications:

  • Self-starter and ability to manage Global Stakeholders across various locations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or Graduate from a reputed college, MBA preferred.

  • Ability to put enterprise thinking first, connect the role’s agenda to company priorities and balance the needs of customers, partners, colleagues & shareholders.
  • Comfortable with emerging technologies/trends. 
  • Understanding of Marketing application architecture and technology infrastructure a plus.
  • Business & Domain Knowledge – marketing, operations & audit.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft excel, VBA, Python & Agile methodology.
