Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Point of Service Coordinator, you will provide immediate assistance and administrative support to patients, ensuring smooth entry into healthcare services.Daily, you will greet and assist patients with coverage questions and office protocols, verify and update demographics and insurance, register new patients, and accurately handle receivables and daily deposits. To be successful in this role, you will bring exceptional customer service, meticulous data and financial accuracy, strong insurance knowledge, and proficiency with scheduling systems.

  • Performs business, general office and scheduling duties for designated departments.
  • Works with a minimum of supervision using approved policies and procedures and scheduling templates.
  • Verify and collect patient data and insurance data.
  • Works with patients, providers, nursing staff and management.
  • Demonstrates competency in communication skills specific to the needs of all ages of patients serviced.
  • Maintains office flow, checking-in scheduled patients, assist walk-in patients, informing nursing staff of patient needs, and oversee waiting are activities.

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or
  • High School GED General Studies, upon hire 

Preferred

  • 1-3 years At least one-year recent experience in amedical office partrice, including businessand scheduling functions is preferred., upon hire
