What You Will Do

The Commercial Engines Production Operations Team is seeking a Mature Commercial Engines (MCE) Strategic Sourcing Manager to ensure industrial recovery plans and supportability for Pratt & Whitney internal & external shops for MCE legacy programs (V2500, PW2000, PW4000, GP7000, FT4000, GG8).

We are seeking an Associate Director, Mature Commercial Engines Strategic Sourcing with experience leading complex sourcing initiatives within Operations and Global Supply Chain.

The Associate Director, Mature Commercial Engines Strategic Sourcing will lead a direct and contract labor team that works to identify, quantify and drive industrial risk mitigation for MCE products requiring moving from one supplier to a new supplier.

  • Provide program customer interface for reporting outsourcing/insourcing plans, industrial execution plans, that lead to meeting overall program objectives.

  • Create and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies to meet the programs requirements.

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and timeliness.

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sourcing activities and mitigate risks associated within the supply chain.

  • Drive a holistic part supply solution accounting for factors such as new OEM parts,  “used serviceable” part availability, repair yields, etc.

  • Manage all cold start activities across the MCE programs.

  • Interface with respective executives relative to issue mitigation, as required.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 12 years in an engineering, manufacturing/shop operations, quality, supply chain, or closely related field OR a Master's degree and 10 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing/shop operations, quality, supply chain or closely related field

  • Demonstrated experience in program and supplier management

  • Demonstrated experience in developing relationships; able to develop credibility and respect with individuals at all organizational levels

  • Skilled at leading and managing a technical team; developing credibility and respect with individuals at all organizational levels

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) 

  • Experience influencing and forming partnerships with business leaders, external supply chain, and operational excellence in managing multiple complex and competing priorities simultaneously.


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Technical experience in engineering change management and implementation

  • Experience using process control/ Six-Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing tools

  • SAP

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
