Together, we can build the future of data storage.Job DescriptionSummary of the Role:As a Principal Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering, you will be responsible for driving efficient production operations through strategic capacity planning aligned with business growth and demand forecasts. You will analyze production, equipment, and workforce capabilities to identify constraints and ensure optimal utilization. The role also involves leading facility layout optimization and process improvement initiatives using Lean and Industrial Engineering methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Additionally, you will manage engineering projects and leverage data analysis to provide insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.Capacity PlanningDevelop short-term and long-term capacity plans aligned with production forecasts and business growth.Analyze production demand, equipment capability, and workforce capacity to identify constraints.Lead capacity modeling and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.Coordinate with production, planning, and supply chain teams to ensure balanced capacity utilization.Recommend capital investments for equipment, automation, and facility expansion when needed.Facility Layout & Space OptimizationDesign and implement efficient plant layouts that optimize workflow, material handling, and space utilization.Lead layout redesign projects for new product introductions, line expansion, or process improvements.Utilize layout planning tools such as AutoCAD, simulation software, and digital factory tools.Ensure layouts follow lean manufacturing principles and safety regulations.Optimize warehouse, production floor, and material flow systems.Process ImprovementApply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering methodologies to improve productivity.Conduct time studies, line balancing, and work measurement analysis.Identify waste reduction opportunities across production processes.Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.Project ManagementManage industrial engineering projects including layout changes, new line installations, and capacity expansion.Coordinate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain.Track project timelines, budgets, and performance metrics.Data Analysis & ReportingAnalyze production data, utilization rates, cycle times, and throughput.Develop dashboards and reports on capacity utilization and operational efficiency.Provide recommendations to leadership based on analytical...
