Job Description
The North America Marketing Manager for a line of business is responsible for driving brand visibility, market demand, and commercial growth for SGS’s testing, inspection, and certification services across the business sector. This role supports both B2B marketing—targeting major brands, manufacturers, and retailers and emerging indie brands—and B2C marketing, focused on recruiting and engaging consumer panelists across three testing locations.
Sitting at the intersection of industry marketing, digital demand generation, and consumer engagement, this role develops and executes integrated marketing campaigns that position SGS as the trusted leader in safety, performance, and claims testing for the business sector. The Marketing Manager partners closely with Business Line leaders, laboratory teams, sales, and global marketing to ensure alignment, consistency, and measurable impact.
The ideal candidate is a strategic marketer and hands‑on executor, someone who can translate technical capabilities into compelling value propositions for B2B audiences while also building high‑performing B2C recruitment funnels. They bring experience in the business sector, or adjacent industries, and are comfortable managing multi‑channel campaigns, content creation, digital marketing, events, and customer engagement programs. This individual thrives in a fast‑paced environment, can manage multiple stakeholders, and consistently delivers high‑quality marketing that drives awareness, leads, and participation.
Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that drive awareness, demand, and commercial growth for SGS’s testing services.
Build targeted B2B campaigns for major brands, manufacturers, retailers, and indie brands.
Lead B2C recruitment marketing strategies to attract and retain consumer testing panelists across three North American locations
Partner with Business Line leaders, lab operations, sales, and global marketing to ensure alignment, consistency, and timely execution
Create multi-channel marketing plans leveraging digital, social, events, email, paid media, and industry partnerships
Write, edit, and produce high quality marketing content including capability sheets, case studies, landing pages, social content, email campaigns, recruitment ads, and promotional materials.
Develop compelling B2B messaging that translates technical testing capabilities into clear value propositions for brand and product teams.
Create B2C content that attracts diverse consumer panelists and communicates the value, safety, and experience of participating in product testing.
Manage and optimize digital channels (website, landing pages, social media, email platforms) to ensure content is accurate, engaging, and conversion focused.
Maintain editorial calendars and ensure a consistent cadence of marketing activity across audiences and business lines
Build and execute integrated B2B campaigns that support lead generation, brand visibility, and commercial objectives.
Develop B2C recruitment campaigns using paid social, local outreach, community partnerships, and targeted digital advertising.
Support product launches, claims testing promotions, seasonal campaigns, and industry events.
Partner with sales to develop sales enablement tools, presentations, and messaging frameworks tailored to beauty and personal care clients.
Coordinate SGS presence at trade shows, conferences, and beauty industry events
Track campaign performance, lead generation, recruitment metrics, and digital engagement; use insights to refine strategy and improve ROI.
Monitor B2C recruitment funnel performance (reach, applications, show rates, retention) and optimize for cost effective panelist acquisition.
Analyze B2B campaign results (MQLs, SQLs, pipeline contribution) and adjust targeting, messaging, and channels accordingly.
Identify opportunities to improve marketing processes, templates, workflows, and channel performance.
Serve as a strategic partner to Business Line leaders, lab managers, and sales teams to ensure marketing supports commercial priorities.
Collaborate with global marketing teams to align with brand standards, messaging frameworks, and global initiatives.
Work closely with operations and panel management teams to ensure B2C recruitment aligns with testing needs and capacity.
Partner with Digital Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Creative teams to execute campaigns efficiently and consistently.
Support urgent or time-sensitive marketing needs, including rapid recruitment pushes or priority client campaigns.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
10+ years of experience in marketing, product marketing, brand management, or category marketing within the cosmetics, personal care, beauty, or consumer goods sectors.
Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that support commercial growth, customer acquisition, and brand visibility across B2B and B2C audiences.
Demonstrated experience creating high‑quality marketing content across multiple formats: product sheets, case studies, digital campaigns, social content, sales enablement materials, trade show assets, and customer presentations.
Hands‑on experience with digital marketing channels, including email automation, paid and organic social, SEO/SEM, landing pages, and CRM platforms.
Strong background in cross‑functional collaboration, working closely with Sales, Operations, Laboratory/Technical teams, Regulatory, and global marketing partners to ensure message accuracy and alignment.
Ability to translate complex scientific or technical information (e.g., claims testing, safety assessments, efficacy studies, etc.) into clear, compelling, customer‑friendly marketing narratives.
Strong understanding of claims substantiation, regulatory considerations, and industry trends within cosmetics and personal care.
Experience measuring marketing performance using analytics, dashboards, engagement metrics, and ROI tracking to optimize campaigns.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, stakeholders, and priorities in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
Experience supporting trade shows, conferences, and industry events, including booth strategy, collateral development, and lead‑gen follow‑up.
Familiarity with global or matrixed organizations and the ability to adapt messaging for regional and global
Preferred
Master’s level degree
Advanced degree or certifications in digital marketing, a plus
Experience supporting B2B campaigns targeting major beauty brands, contract manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, and R&D teams ideally within testing, formulation, or product development environments
Experience supporting B2C recruitment campaigns for consumer testing panels, including audience targeting, messaging, and funnel optimization.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Language Skills – Advanced English
Advanced capabilities with Adobe Creative Suite, CRM Tools, Eloqua, HubSpot, Qualtics & other survey tools preferred but not required.
Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
Proven experience in B2B marketing, ideally supporting major beauty brands, manufacturers, retailers, or testing/claims organizations.
Experience in B2C or consumer recruitment marketing, preferably for product testing, consumer insights, or panelist acquisition programs.
Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) good practices preferred but not required.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate technical testing capabilities into compelling, audience appropriate messaging.
Demonstrated success managing multi-channel campaigns, including digital, social, paid media, events, and email marketing
Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms (CRM, marketing automation, social advertising, analytics dashboards
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously
Data driven mindset with experience analyzing campaign performance, recruitment metrics, and lead gen KPIs to optimize results
Ability to work cross functionally with sales, lab operations, business line leaders, digital marketing, and global teams.
Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically - able to shape the marketing plan and execute the work hands on.
Experience in beauty, wellness, consumer products, or regulated industries is strongly preferred
Familiarity with claims testing, product development, or consumer insights is a plus.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is $100, 000– $115,000 annually. This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
