Key Responsibilities
1. RFQ Management & Technical Cost Analysis
- End-to-End Costing: Conduct detailed product costing analysis including material costs, manufacturing/labor costs, overheads, and logistics.
- Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret technical engineering drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and Gerber files to identify sourcing requirements.
- Component & Assembly Costing: Analyze and cost complex printed circuit boards (PCBs), PCB Assemblies (PCBA), electronic components, and custom mechanical parts (enclosures, sheet metal, plastics).
- Spend Analysis: Perform spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, cost drivers, and margin improvements.
2. Proposal Generation & Sales Support
- Independent Bidding: Act as the strategic partner to Sales Leads, taking complete ownership of building competitive commercial proposals and RFQ packages.
- Technical Queries: Clarify technical and commercial ambiguities directly with the customer or internal engineering teams.
3. Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Development
- Supplier Identification: Scout, evaluate, and onboard high-quality global suppliers for electronics and mechanical components.
- Negotiation: Drive commercial negotiations with global suppliers to secure optimal pricing, credit terms, and lead times.
- Global Supply Chain Management: Mitigate supply chain risks by maintaining a healthy mix of local and international vendor networks.
4. End-to-End Project Execution
- PO to Delivery Lifecycle: Take complete ownership of the project lifecycle once a bid is won—managing order placement, material planning, tracking production, and ensuring on-time delivery to the customer.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B. Tech) in Electrical, Electronics, or an allied engineering background.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of core experience in RFQ preparation, product costing, and strategic sourcing within the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), hardware, or automotive sectors.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in parsing complex engineering drawings and BOM structures.
- Strong familiarity with electronic component markets, PCB fabrication processes, and mechanical manufacturing techniques.
- Advanced data analysis skills using MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data modeling).
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, excellent verbal/written communication for vendor and customer relations, and the ability to work autonomously under tight bidding deadlines.
