Accountabilities:
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including tractor trailers, roll-offs, tankers, van trailers, and other specialized equipment.
- Transport bulk and containerized hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials to designated locations.
- Perform less-than-load (LTL) pickups and support customer service requirements.
- Maintain accurate driver documentation, including logbooks, trip reports, permits, and waste manifests.
- Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations related to hazardous waste collection, packaging, transportation, labeling, and load securement.
- Ensure proper vehicle operation while complying with applicable safety laws and company procedures.
- Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Use assigned technology systems, mobile applications, and software tools to support daily operations.
- Communicate professionally with customers to ensure service quality and satisfaction.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, vehicles, and facilities.
- Participate in safety programs, training sessions, and compliance initiatives.
- Support field service projects, including technician responsibilities for specialized waste handling activities when needed.
- Perform additional operational duties as assigned.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Hazardous materials and tanker endorsements required or ability to obtain required endorsements within 90 days of hire.
- Driving record must meet established safety and compliance standards.
- Ability to successfully complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training upon hire.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading activities.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, hazardous materials transportation requirements, and safety procedures.
- Ability to accurately complete documentation and follow detailed operating instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with customers and operational teams.
- Flexibility to support variable schedules, including occasional overnight shifts based on business requirements.
- Competitive hourly pay range of approximately $27.15–$37.35, depending on location and experience.
