Banking Operations Specialist - Account & Customer Data (Fluent German)
About the opportunity
We are strengthening our Account & Customer Data team within Banking Operations and are looking for motivated Banking Operations Specialists (German speaker) to join us in our brand new office in Madrid on the 1st of September 2026.
Within Banking Operations, we act as the centre of competence for the management and processing of special account types, such as accounts with legal representatives or custodians, probate & estates, as well as, Power of Attorneys and related processes under the Payment Accounts Act.
As a Specialist on the German market, you will learn the fundamental concepts, best practices, and procedures of our team.
In this role, you will:
- Handle incoming operational requests regarding special account types to deliver the best quality for our customers.
- Execute business processes on behalf of the customers, dealing with enquiries and orders while developing a broad knowledge within your area.
- Assist in handling communications with third parties such as lawyers, notaries, courts, tax authorities, and other officials.
- Contribute to improving processes with a strong customer focus.
- Demonstrate a data analytics mindset to properly understand the data provided to you.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
What you need to be successful:
- Initial experience or a strong interest in banking operations, legal, or regulatory topics.
- Completed bank apprenticeship or a university degree in business, finance, law, or a related field.
- Fluent German and English (written and spoken) are required. French, Spanish, or Italian are a plus.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace; experience with Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, and other CRM/ticketing systems is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to learn best practices and manage operational requests.
- A collaborative mindset combined with a customer oriented focus.
