Accountabilities:
- Design, deploy, and operate scalable Microsoft Azure infrastructure supporting enterprise applications and digital platforms.
- Architect and maintain hybrid cloud networking solutions, including Virtual Networks, Hub-and-Spoke architectures, Virtual WAN, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Private Endpoints, DNS, and Azure routing services.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure standards, reference architectures, and reusable platform patterns.
- Build and manage Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or similar technologies.
- Design, implement, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent platforms.
- Automate operational processes through scripting with PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, Python, or similar tools.
- Implement cloud governance frameworks, security controls, identity management practices, Azure Policy, RBAC, Key Vault, and compliance guardrails.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions.
- Implement monitoring, logging, observability, and diagnostics solutions using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Grafana, Splunk, or Datadog.
- Analyze production telemetry, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and improve platform reliability and performance.
- Support production deployments, release management, disaster recovery planning, and operational readiness activities.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, infrastructure assessments, and code reviews.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment processes, network designs, and operational procedures.
- Mentor engineers and promote DevOps, automation, security, and cloud engineering best practices.
- Provide occasional support during critical incidents or scheduled production activities outside standard working hours.
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or cloud operations.
- Strong experience designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft Azure environments in production.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure networking, including:
- Hub-and-Spoke architecture
- Azure Virtual WAN
- Virtual Networks (VNets)
- Azure DNS
- Routing services
- VPN Gateway
- ExpressRoute
- Network Security Groups
- Azure Firewall
- Private Endpoints
- Experience designing hybrid cloud connectivity between Azure and on-premises environments.
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or comparable technologies.
- Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
- Strong scripting and automation capabilities using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, Python, or related tools.
- Experience operating production cloud environments with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability.
- Knowledge of cloud governance, security controls, identity management, and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and root cause analysis abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within distributed, remote, and consulting-based engineering teams.
- Experience supporting digital banking, fintech, financial services, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with financial technology platforms such as Backbase, Forge, VeriPark, Fiserv, Temenos, or similar solutions.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Kubernetes, Docker, and container networking.
- Knowledge of Azure Landing Zones and enterprise cloud governance models.
- Experience implementing observability platforms and centralized telemetry solutions.
- Experience integrating security practices into Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with ITIL or enterprise service management frameworks.
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, or AZ-700.
- Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies.
