The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of solutions that support our software quality, API test automation, and release reliability. You will build and extend automated API test suites - primarily using the Karate framework - collaborate with back-end engineers to validate services at the API layer, and play a role in advancing Pebl's business objectives.How You’ll Make an Impact:Design, develop, and maintain automated API test suites using Karate, covering functional, regression, integration, and contract testing of REST servicesCollaborate with back-end engineers, product managers, and designers to define testable API requirements and support the delivery of high-quality software releasesContribute to the development and improvement of our Karate-based API test automation framework, CI/CD testing pipelines, and QA processesValidate API behavior end to end - request/response contracts, status codes, error handling, authentication/authorization, data integrity, and integrations with databases and message queuesApply foundational knowledge of service architectures to drive product reliability, regression coverage, and operational efficiencyUphold standards in test quality, API test documentation, and release readinessParticipate in code reviews, test plan reviews, and QA process discussionsMentor junior QA engineers and help foster a culture of continuous learning and quality excellenceLet’s Connect If You Have:A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceTypically 1-2 years of experience in software testing, QA, or test automation, with hands-on exposure to API/back-end testingExperience with API test automation tools such as Karate, REST Assured, or Postman - experience with Karate is strongly preferredA solid understanding of REST fundamentals: HTTP methods, status codes, headers, JSON/XML payloads, and authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JWT)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and running automated API tests as part of build and deployment workflowsBasic SQL skills for validating data behind the API layerAn eagerness to take initiative in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative development environmentStrong communication and collaboration skills with a team-oriented mindsetExperience with Java, Gherkin/BDD, contract testing (e.g., Pact), performance testing (e.g., Gatling, JMeter), or API mocking/service virtualization is a plusCore Competencies:Ownership & Initiative — Takes responsibility for assigned work and meets deadlinesCustomer Focus — Responds promptly to customer needs with...
