A Day in the Life

Medtronic is hiring a Technical Consultant for our Cardiovascular Therapy Group, responsible for collaborating with interventional cardiologists, cardiac electrophysiologists, referral cardiologists and other stakeholders to optimize heart rhythm disorder treatments. In the role, you will be committed to a broad portfolio of products for both bradycardia and tachycardia arrhythmias therapies.
You will be supporting cardiac devices implants (pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders) in hospitals, eventually providing technical support and troubleshooting in clinics and private practices. This role will cover the French part of Switzerland and is a remote role.  This means your home/remote location is the primary work location. There may however be requirements to attend a Medtronic location for meetings from time to time. 

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Add value on high technical knowledge in combination with a diplomatic approach.•  
  • Provide training for the whole chain of stakeholders on how to use our products in the best way to ensure best patient outcome.
  • Organize educational and proctoring programs.
  • Promote the added value of our products, both from a technical, and a commercial perspective.
  • Deliver training sessions to healthcare professionals, act as an expert in telemedicine.
  • Provide on-site support, consulting and education to healthcare professionals, throughout sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products.
  • Partake in conferences and congresses.
  • Provide reports of activities and issues as required by management.

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or similar

  • 3 years of experience in a healthcare, hospital environment

  • Passion for the technical aspects of Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Fluency in both French and English

  • Strong flexibility and solid planning skills

  • Knowledge of standard Information and Communication Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce)
