Accountabilities
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to rapidly prototype, validate, and deliver reliable production-ready solutions.
- Identify opportunities where software, automation, data, and AI can improve operations, products, workflows, and revenue outcomes.
- Own projects end-to-end, including discovery, problem definition, architecture, implementation, deployment, measurement, and continuous iteration.
- Collaborate directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand business challenges, define solutions, and communicate trade-offs.
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications, backend services, automation workflows, and internal platforms.
- Contribute to technical strategy, architecture decisions, and the long-term evolution of engineering systems.
- Work with cloud infrastructure and edge platforms to build secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.
- Monitor and improve application performance, reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
- Participate in code reviews, promote engineering best practices, and mentor other engineers.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and development approaches that increase engineering effectiveness.
- Proven experience moving from ambiguous business problems to deployed software solutions while collaborating with stakeholders throughout the process.
- Demonstrated ability to independently deliver complex systems and measurable business outcomes with minimal supervision.
- Strong product ownership mindset with the ability to evaluate priorities, trade-offs, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Experience effectively using AI-assisted development tools in production environments while maintaining quality, security, performance, and maintainability standards.
- Strong architectural judgment and systems thinking to validate and improve AI-generated solutions.
- Experience building and maintaining production web applications.
- Experience working with modern application frameworks such as Laravel or similar technologies.
- Experience designing and implementing experimentation and A/B testing frameworks using tools such as PostHog or comparable platforms.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Cloudflare, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, including writing and optimizing queries with or without ORMs.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global, distributed teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results in a remote-first environment.
- Familiarity with technologies such as PHP, Python, TypeScript, Laravel, Astro, AWS, Cloudflare, MySQL, Datadog, PostHog, LLM APIs, embeddings, RAG architectures, agent frameworks, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, or orchestration is a plus.
- Fully remote opportunity within the United States.
- Competitive annual salary range of $115,000–$160,000 USD, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
