Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to join the pre-opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year.

 

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hotelier to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.

 

Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace, Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17,500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the world’s most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, and a collection of grand event spaces, including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

 

As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in delivering refined culinary offerings, supporting an elevated dining experience for Guests and Members. You will contribute to culinary excellence, operational efficiency, and financial performance within a luxury kitchen environment.

  • Prepare and present high‑quality dishes in strict accordance with brand standards and culinary guidelines
  • Maintain immaculate workspaces, ensuring cleanliness, organisation, and strict adherence to cross‑contamination protocols
  • Execute all mise en place for relevant menus with precision and consistency
  • Respond to guest‑related requests professionally, ensuring timely and positive resolutions
  • Ensure all food items are of exceptional quality and stored in compliance with food safety standards
  • Support cost control initiatives, contributing to gross profit improvement and departmental financial objectives
  • Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across departments to ensure flawless service delivery
  • Proactively report maintenance issues, hygiene concerns, or potential hazards
  • Comply fully with hotel security procedures, fire regulations, and all health, safety, and food safety legislation
  • Demonstrate clear awareness of departmental targets and actively contribute to their achievement
  • Operate with environmental responsibility, supporting sustainable kitchen practices

     

 

 

What are we looking for?

 

A Demi Chef de Partie representing Hilton’s luxury portfolio consistently acts in the best interests of our Guests while collaborating with the wider Team. To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the following attributes, skills, and qualifications:

 

  • NVQ Level 2 
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • A positive, professional, and service‑oriented attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a high‑expectation environment
  • Confidence working independently as well as part of a structured culinary team

     

 

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a quality‑driven, luxury kitchen environment
