About the Position: Serves as Chief, Programs and Project Controls Branch, supervising a multi-disciplinary staff engaged in the life-cycle program and funds management and project AIS management of Civil Works, Military and IIS programs under the SPK area of responsibility. Provides program and project management support to Programs and Project Management Division and district personnel.
Develops, defends, and maintains a balanced, justified, and prioritized Civil Works program of planning and engineering studies, projects, and related activities within available funding, manpower, and other resources.
Oversees programs management and funds control functions of the Military and IIS programs including revenue forecasting, the management of existing funds from a wide variety of customers and appropriations, and customer financial reporting.
Provides advice to the District Commander, Deputy District Engineer for Project Management, other technical chiefs, and project managers on program policy, funding, scheduling, and manpower.
Applies a thorough understanding of the roles the state and local governments, regulators, commands, installations, and partners play in the Corps of Engineers project sponsorship.
