Accountabilities:

    The Senior Strategy Manager, Customer Segment Strategy will lead the development and execution of customer-focused access and contracting strategies while providing strategic guidance across multiple business functions.

    • Develop and execute access and contracting strategies that support portfolio growth, patient access, and sustainable business outcomes across key customer segments.
    • Provide strategic recommendations and subject matter expertise to customer engagement teams and market access leaders.
    • Act as a liaison between account teams, pricing and contracting stakeholders, external affairs, legal teams, and cross-functional business partners to align customer strategies with broader objectives.
    • Lead complex, cross-portfolio initiatives involving new customer segments, evolving market dynamics, and innovative access approaches.
    • Support negotiation strategies by analyzing customer priorities, anticipating market responses, and developing effective engagement recommendations.
    • Analyze contract performance insights, market trends, and customer data to identify opportunities and inform future strategies.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop strategic account plans that incorporate customer needs, industry evolution, and portfolio priorities.
    • Translate customer insights and reimbursement challenges into actionable solutions that improve access strategies.
    • Monitor external trends including policy changes, industry developments, and customer evolution to anticipate business impacts.
    • Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to influence strategic decision-making and organizational priorities.
    • Provide expertise and guidance on pricing, contracting, distribution, and policy considerations affecting customer relationships.
    • Build strong partnerships with customer-facing teams and support initiatives that enhance engagement and collaboration.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong market access expertise, analytical capabilities, and experience influencing complex healthcare strategies across multiple stakeholders.

      • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
      • Five or more years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related industries.
      • Five or more years of experience in market access functions, including payer strategy, contracting strategy, account management, consulting, market analysis, health economics, distribution strategy, or managed care finance.
      • Broad understanding of the US healthcare market access landscape across multiple therapeutic areas.
      • Deep expertise in pricing, contracting, reimbursement, distribution, and customer segment strategies.
      • Proven experience developing and executing access strategies within complex business environments.
      • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
      • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority.
      • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
      • Strong customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance external needs and internal priorities.
      • Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and drive initiatives in a fast-changing environment.
      • Preferred qualifications include an MBA or advanced degree and direct customer experience within relevant healthcare segments.
