Reporting directly to the Customer Installations Regional Manager, you will work on-site and in the field to provide complete preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, breakdown support, and technical repairs across ALA-owned and serviced equipment.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
In this hands-on, autonomous field role, you will be the technical face of Air Liquide across key customer sites. Your mission is built on four core operational pillars:
Preventative Maintenance & Scheduled Execution: Follow the Maintenance Scheduler plan to perform routine preventative maintenance on gas reticulation systems, control panels, and customer installations efficiently and safely.
Rapid Breakdown Response & Fault Diagnosis: Attend emergency service calls to diagnose electrical faults, formulate corrective actions, and execute high-quality repairs with minimal need for rework.
Asset Preservation & Technical Escalation: Maintain company assets to extend service life, ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose, and escalate complex technical/engineering challenges to regional engineers when required.
Field Coverage & Safety Ownership: Work on-site across Central Queensland region, participating in a weekend on-call roster per fortnight to ensure continuous customer supply and uptime while maintaining an absolute, zero-compromise safety mindset.

Essential Requirements:
Trade Qualification: Current QLD Electrical License.
Driver's License: Current, valid State Driver's License (MR Class highly regarded).
Workplace Agility: Strong safety commitment, customer site service experience, and willingness to participate in a 7-day on-call roster per month (with travel across Mackay/surrounding areas).
Valid and full Australian working rights.
Highly Regarded Tickets & Experience (Advantageous):
Site Readiness & Inductions: Current Mine Site Inductions (e.g., Standard 11 / Mine Clearances)
High Risk Tickets: Forklift (LF), Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Confined Space, and Rigging licenses.
Specialized Systems: Previous experience servicing rotating equipment, industrial air compressors, instrumentation, automated systems, or gas reticulation and pressure vessels.
