Full Stack Product Engineer, Agent Native
About Aedeon
Aedeon is the agent platform for enterprise modernization, built by Aedeon Inc., a separate product company founded by the same team that founded Mactores. Aedeon turns the systems already running a business applications, databases, data platforms, business rules, workflows into governed AI agents, grounded in a persistent Code Intelligence Graph of the customer's own code and verified through behavior-equivalence proof. Aedeon is delivered as a product, not a services engagement, and runs without mandatory forward-deployed engineers.
About Mactores Mactores is the agent-native AWS modernization firm. Most enterprise modernization stalls at pilots and handoffs; ours ships, production systems running, legacy retired, outcomes measured. Our delivery is built on Aedeon, the agent platform built by Mactores' founders' sister company, Aedeon Inc. Aedeon absorbs the repetitive 60–70% of engagement work, discovery, mapping, validation, test generation, while forward-deployed engineers own architecture, judgment, and cutover. Mactores is Aedeon's flagship deployment partner: field delivery informs the platform roadmap, and the platform shapes how we deliver.About Aedeon

This role puts you inside the platform side of that loop: you'll ship product features on Aedeon itself. Aedeon is the agent-native modernization platform for the enterprise, it turns the systems already running the business (applications, databases, data platforms, business rules, workflows) into governed AI agents, grounded in a persistent Code Intelligence Graph of the customer's own code and verified through behavior-equivalence proof. Aedeon is delivered as a product, not a services engagement, and runs without mandatory forward-deployed engineers. It has real enterprise customers and tight release timelines.
We're looking for a senior full-stack developer who is deeply product-oriented, takes release ownership seriously, and brings a rigorous, test-first mindset to every feature they ship. You understand the full delivery lifecycle, building features, defining test cases, running deployments, validating production readiness and you use AI agents and automation to do it at a high standard of quality and efficiency. Agents don't replace your judgment here; they multiply it. You'll use AI tooling to generate test coverage at scale, and you'll own the calls the tooling can't make.
We're not looking for someone who builds features and hands them off. We're looking for someone who ships features they'd be proud to demo, loses sleep over a broken deployment and fixes it before anyone asks, writes test cases before the code rather than after the deadline, uses every tool available including AI to work better and faster, and treats the release date as a promise to the team and the customer. You think like a product owner: quality, timelines, and the end-user experience are personal responsibilities. You commit to release deadlines and raise risks early enough to do something about them.

What will you do
- Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across the Aedeon frontend (React + Next.js) with a focus on reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Work with product management, designers, and backend/DevOps engineers to take features from requirement to deployed, tested release.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives with a product-first perspective.
- Own delivery of your features end to end — development through deployment and post-release validation.
- Commit to sprint and release deadlines and hit them. Flag blockers and risks with enough lead time to mitigate them.
- Coordinate with DevOps and QA so the deployment pipeline is ready and the release process is clean and repeatable.
- Practice test-driven development. The test defines what "done" means before the code ships.
- Write detailed, accurate test cases for every feature before deployment — functional flows, edge cases, regression scenarios, integration touchpoints.
- Use AI-assisted tools to generate high-quality test cases at scale and validate them for coverage completeness.
- Build and maintain automated test suites (E2E, integration, unit) and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Run thorough deployment validations in staging before any production release. No feature ships without sign-off.
- Write clear, maintainable code with adequate documentation. Review pull requests thoroughly and give constructive feedback.
- Document APIs, deployment procedures, test plans, and architectural decisions in Confluence or equivalent tools.
- Share testing best practices with the team and hold the line on quality and release discipline.

What you need for this opportunity
- Strong proficiency in React.js: component architecture, state management, hooks, and performance optimization.
- Strong proficiency in the Next.js framework.
- Experience building real-time interfaces using WebSocket APIs.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend tooling (Vite, Webpack).
- Experience implementing OAuth 2.0 flows (GitHub OAuth, AWS Cognito) in the frontend.
- Familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Working knowledge of AWS services: S3, DynamoDB, SES, Cognito, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch.
- Comfort navigating multi-account AWS environments (dev/uat/prod) and an understanding of VPC networking basics.
- Test-driven development as a discipline. Tests written before the code, not after.
- Hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated test suites: E2E (Playwright or Cypress), integration tests, and unit tests.
- Experience using AI tools (Claude, LLM-based test generators) to accelerate and improve test case quality.
- Ability to write structured, accurate test cases from product requirements: functional, edge case, regression, and integration coverage.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

How we work?
- Mactores was built agent-native from day one: agents absorb the repetitive 60–70% of delivery work, and engineers own the judgment. The same logic applies inside this role AI tooling generates test coverage and accelerates the routine work, and you own architecture, release calls, and the promise behind the date. Because Mactores' founders also founded Aedeon Inc., field delivery and platform development feed each other: what our forward-deployed engineers learn on customer engagements shapes what gets built, and what you build shapes what ships for customers.
At Mactores, our recruitment process is built around distinct structured stages. Here's an overview of what to expect at each stage:
Take-home Assessment: A technical task relevant to the role, so you can demonstrate your thinking and approach at your own pace.Technical Interview:
A hands-on session with one of our panel members covering your technical skills, hands-on experience, and how you deliver quality under pressure.
Panel Interview:
A structured conversation with members of the hiring team covering your experience, product thinking, and how you work.
HR Discussion:
During this 30-minute session, you'll have the opportunity to discuss the offer and next steps with a member of the HR team.
