The Crown Is Yours

As a Senior Lead Technical Operations Engineer, you'll set the standard for how enterprise platforms are governed, scaled, and operated across our organization. You'll own the Google Workspace Enterprise and help evolve Platform Operations toward a more automated, secure, and auditable operating model. In this role, your technical judgment, platform expertise, and cross-functional influence will shape the future of enterprise software-as-a-service operations.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the technical strategy, governance, security posture, and roadmap for Google Workspace Enterprise.

  • Establish scalable standards across Gmail, Drive, Vault, Chrome Management, Data Loss Prevention, Context-Aware Access, Security Center, admin roles, and audit reporting.

  • Advance automation-first operations through Python, Google Workspace application programming interfaces, REST application programming interfaces, Git-based workflows, and configuration-as-code practices.

  • Partner with Security, Compliance, Identity and Access Management, Enterprise Architecture, and IT Engineering to translate platform requirements into secure, scalable controls.

  • Mentor teammates, strengthen technical documentation, and raise the engineering maturity of Platform Operations through standards, reviews, and repeatable practices.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field.

  • At least 5 years of experience owning enterprise software-as-a-service platforms in a technical operations environment, with hands-on experience in Google Workspace Enterprise or a similar collaboration platform.

  • A strong understanding of enterprise platform governance, security controls, access management, audit readiness, and operational standards in a complex environment.

  • Experience using and writing scripting, application programming interfaces, automation tools, Git-based workflows, or version control practices to improve platform administration, reporting, lifecycle management, and repeatable workflows.

  • Experience working with identity and access management concepts or tools, such as Okta, Entra ID, Active Directory, Security Assertion Markup Language, or System for Cross-domain Identity Management.

  • Strong communication, ownership, and technical judgment, with the ability to build trust, guide teammates, and influence standards across teams.
