As a part of the Strategic Research team in Knowledge Services function of Marsh McLennan India, the candidate will support the strategy, specialty, and risk practices in the Europe region, with in-depth research collaterals that enable growth and sales leaders prepare and communicate the Marsh McLennan proposition sharply to clients and prospects across various industries. These include end products that support business planning, client insights packs and detailed industry and risk research.

What will you focus on:
- Macro-economic analysis to support understanding the business environment, track changes & impacts. specifically for use in annual planning.
- Prospect listing of clients that could be related to industries, locations, business type, etc.
- Client dialogue decks to support initial discussions with clients and prospects based on our understanding of their core issues.
- Industry assessments highlighting addressable market size, industry trends, challenges, outlook, external drivers, performance and key risks.
- Competitor analysis that highlights what the client/ prospects competitors’ strategic intent, key activities being undertaken, and how that relates to opportunities.
- Insurance market analysis that provides a detailed analysis of a specific market and product line.
- Mentor team of researchers, effectively manage stakeholder communications and project deliverables while owning team governance responsibilities.

What you need to have:
- Masters / Bachelors in Economics or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) / equivalent post-graduation certification from a reputed institute.
- 7 to 9 years of experience in strategy research and advisory (quantitative and qualitative | secondary), at a leading professional services / market intelligence / research firm.
- Strong commitment to absorb and engage in feedback discussions and enhancing own knowledge and quality of end products.
- Experience in building frameworks, drawing data driven insights and performing analysis aligned to the ‘Sales Strategy’, focusing on clients / prospects, markets, competitors, products and regulatory developments.
- Deep understanding of financial concepts, global marketplace, key trends, economic and geo-political developments, key business and financial risks.
- Strong understanding of strategy frameworks (PESTEL, Porter’s 5 forces, BCG Matrix, SWOT, etc.) and their applications in bringing out cutting edge insights.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, storyboarding and report writing skills.
- Advanced communication skills – verbal, writing, listening.
- Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office Suite, SharePoint & data visualization tools with a flair for using tech-tools for research and overall reporting
- Expertise in commercial databases such as S&P Cap IQ, Factiva, Global Data, A.M. Best etc.

- Certificate in insurance such as Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) / Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
- Exposure to working in a global setting.
- Experience in risk advisory or insurance / re-insurance related research or advisory support in related verticals.
