Up to $48.00/hour (DOE) + $5,000 Sign-On Bonus + $5.50/hour Shift Differential (6:00 PM–6:00 AM)

Full-Time opportunity in Concord, California

Schedule: Tuesday–Friday | Four 10-hour shifts | No Weekends

As a Neurology Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) at SAGE Concord, you'll work alongside board-certified neurologists providing advanced nursing care for complex neurology and neurosurgery patients. From MRI and CT imaging to high-risk anesthesia and post-operative recovery, you'll play an integral role in delivering exceptional patient outcomes while expanding your technical skills in a collaborative specialty environment.

In Your Day-to-Day You Will

  • Administer and closely monitor anesthesia for neurosurgical procedures and advanced diagnostic imaging.

  • Support MRI, CT, spinal taps, and other anesthetized procedures.

  • Perform pre-operative assessments, post-operative monitoring, and patient recovery.

  • Assist neurologists with neurologic examinations and comprehensive case workups.

  • Calculate and administer medications, continuous rate infusions (CRIs), and IV fluid therapy.

  • Place and maintain intravenous, urinary, and feeding catheters.

  • Monitor patient vital signs, pain scores, and neurologic status throughout hospitalization.

  • Provide emergency stabilization and ongoing care for seizure and neurologic patients.

  • Assist with rehabilitation, mobility support, and nursing care for neurologic patients.

  • Educate clients with compassion and professionalism regarding patient care and recovery.

  • Maintain thorough and accurate electronic medical records.

  • Work collaboratively with specialists, emergency clinicians, RVTs, and support staff to provide exceptional patient care.

What You Bring

  • Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.

  • Minimum of 3 years of veterinary technician experience; specialty, Emergency, ICU, anesthesia, or Neurology experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong experience monitoring anesthesia, particularly high-risk patients.

  • Excellent technical skills including drug calculations, patient monitoring, catheter placement, and advanced nursing care.

  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

  • Passion for specialty medicine and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Competitive Compensation

  • Up to $48.00/hour, based on experience and skill set

  • $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
