What You Will Do

Guidehouse is seeking a highly capable Senior Solutions Architect to support a large-scale federal technology modernization and enterprise infrastructure program operating within secure and classified environments.

This role requires an experienced architecture professional capable of translating mission and business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient technical solutions across infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, software, and enterprise platforms.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical architecture expertise with recent hands-on experience designing complex enterprise environments, leading modernization initiatives, and guiding engineering teams through implementation and operational transition activities.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise technology solutions that support mission-critical federal operations.
  • Develop target-state architectures across infrastructure, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, application, and data domains.
  • Assess current-state environments and identify modernization opportunities that improve security, performance, availability, and operational efficiency.
  • Produce architecture artifacts including solution designs, technical roadmaps, engineering diagrams, implementation plans, and operational transition documentation.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, development, cloud, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of technical solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations regarding adoption, integration, and modernization strategies.
  • Support architecture governance, design reviews, technical working sessions, and change management activities.
  • Lead solution definition activities for infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, virtualization, automation, and enterprise platform initiatives.
  • Ensure solutions align with security, compliance, operational, and performance requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout planning, engineering, deployment, and operational sustainment activities.
  • Support continuity of operations, resiliency planning, disaster recovery, and enterprise architecture initiatives.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to engineering teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership audiences.

What You Will Need

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor's degree or four (4) additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Eight (8)+ years of experience designing highly complex enterprise IT systems and architectures.
  • Experience developing enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or systems architecture artifacts and roadmaps.
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, or enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Experience supporting secure, compliance-driven federal environments.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, virtualization, cloud platforms, and application architectures.
  • Experience leading technical design sessions and coordinating cross-functional implementation teams.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills.

What Would Be Nice To Have

  • AWS, Azure, TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent architecture certifications.
  • Experience with cloud architecture and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience supporting classified, national security, intelligence community, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms, enterprise infrastructure modernization, and automation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture principles.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53, RMF, STIGs, continuous monitoring, and ATO processes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise DevSecOps, CI/CD, or platform engineering initiatives.
  • Experience designing highly available and disaster-resilient enterprise solutions.
  • Experience developing enterprise technology roadmaps and modernization strategies.

The annual salary range for this position is $87,100.00-$130,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
