The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.Job DescriptionThe Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.Responsibilities:Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting codeConsult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systemsApply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debuggingServe as advisor or coach to new or lower level analystsIdentify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutionsResolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedentsHas the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Independently conduct analysis and execute tasks for a broad range of data initiatives, including data requirements, issues management, Data Quality rules, lineage, Data Governance, and taxonomy.Develop and articulate business requirements and map current and future state processes.Contribute tactically to strategic design and process improvement project implementation across lines of business and functions, collaborating with Technology and Operations.Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating/managing control issues with transparency.Work as a Technical Data Analyst on the build-out of a data analytics platform for the Prime Finance business, owning the capture and documentation of clear data requirements using user stories and Confluence.Collaborate with business users on requirement gathering, identify systematic sources of data, understand data interlinkages, and grasp any logic or calculations performed on data sets and their use cases.Document clear test acceptance criteria for requirements and work with QA to develop test strategies for both data and visualization layers.Work closely with development teams to break down requirements and ensure impacts are understood.Communicate key project risks, define mitigation strategies, manage resolution, proactively follow escalation and change control...
