Accountabilities:
- Act as the senior governance leader in customer AI reviews, security assessments, privacy discussions, and data processing negotiations to help remove barriers and build trust.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their business objectives, risk concerns, and internal approval processes while developing practical governance solutions.
- Create customer-facing governance materials, including trust documentation, AI model explanations, audit narratives, and security questionnaire resources.
- Develop strategies that increase customer confidence and adoption of data-sharing and AI capabilities through transparent value communication.
- Partner with Sales, Customer Experience, and Legal teams to improve enablement materials, objection handling, and governance conversations.
- Own and evolve data governance frameworks, including data classifications, permitted and restricted usage policies, AI governance principles, retention standards, and cross-tenant data practices.
- Monitor regulatory developments and maintain alignment with industry frameworks such as NIST AI Risk Management Framework, EU AI Act, ISO 42001, SOC 2, and privacy regulations.
- Translate governance requirements into actionable product requirements, including audit capabilities, access controls, approval workflows, and data lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to ensure customer commitments are reflected in product design and implementation.
- Drive external thought leadership through industry perspectives, publications, conference participation, and analyst engagement.
- Significant experience leading data governance, AI governance, privacy, compliance, or trust initiatives within technology-driven organizations.
- Proven ability to manage complex customer conversations and transform governance discussions into strategic opportunities.
- Strong understanding of AI governance principles, data privacy practices, security requirements, and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience developing policies, governance frameworks, and operational standards that support responsible technology adoption.
- Ability to translate between executive, legal, customer, regulatory, and engineering perspectives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear, defensible policies and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Experience partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
- Strong business judgment and the ability to determine when to adapt policies, improve products, or reframe customer expectations.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments while driving measurable outcomes.
- Experience establishing thought leadership through industry content, speaking engagements, or analyst relationships is highly desirable.
