Accountabilities:
- Serve as the functional owner and primary point of contact for Workday Financials, supporting business operations and continuous platform improvements.
- Partner closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to understand requirements, design solutions, and deliver system enhancements aligned with business goals.
- Lead the full lifecycle of Workday Financials initiatives, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and adoption.
- Provide subject matter expertise across key finance processes, ensuring Workday configurations support accounting standards, operational efficiency, and best practices.
- Manage Workday business processes, security roles, and controls to support compliance, governance, and audit requirements.
- Develop and maintain advanced Workday reports and analytics to improve financial visibility, reporting accuracy, and decision-making.
- Support financial integrations between Workday and connected systems by coordinating with internal technical teams and external partners.
- Lead Workday biannual release activities, including feature evaluation, impact assessments, testing coordination, and recommendations for adoption.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 production support by troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing process improvements.
- Drive automation, optimization, and adoption of new Workday capabilities to improve efficiency across finance operations.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and data-driven insights to enhance financial systems.
- Mentor team members and contribute to improving technical maturity, documentation, and operational excellence.
- 7+ years of experience supporting Workday Financials in a production environment.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Workday Financials configuration, functional design, and business process management.
- Proven experience partnering directly with Finance and Accounting teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Deep knowledge of one or more Workday Financials domains, such as Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Quote-to-Cash, or Expenses, with broader understanding of related areas.
- Strong understanding of Workday Security, role-based access, and Business Process Frameworks.
- Experience with Workday reporting, including Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, Composite Reports, and Calculated Fields.
- Experience with Workday integrations using EIBs and Core Connectors; knowledge of Studio or APIs is a plus.
- Familiarity with Workday release cycles, testing processes, and change management practices.
- Knowledge of Workday Payroll and/or Adaptive Planning is a plus.
- Experience with Prism Analytics is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across finance, technical, and cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
