The Associate Director, Sales Business Development is a key customer-facing account executive role responsible for building and sustaining strategic relationships with Collins Aerospace’s airline customers. The role owns the overall customer strategy and serves as the primary interface between the customer and Collins Aerospace, ensuring all customer engagements, priorities and commercial strategies are aligned with Collins Aerospace objectives.

In addition, the individual will represent the voice of the customer internally, working closely with Collins Aerospace business unit teams to ensure customer needs are clearly understood and translated into tailored, customer-centric solutions.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary customer-facing point of contact for assigned airline key accounts, building and sustaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Develop, own, and execute account-specific business development strategies aligned with Collins Aerospace priorities and growth objectives.
  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities across Collins Aerospace’s portfolio of products and solutions.
  • Coordinate commercial negotiations with airline customers, including contracts, pricing and commercial terms, working in close collaboration with Business Unit Sales and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver sustainable outcomes.
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring customer insights, feedback, and strategic priorities are clearly communicated and understood across the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with internal Business Unit key stakeholders and relevant teams to align customer requirements with product and solution offerings.
  • Support the development of customer-centric solutions by translating airline operational and commercial needs into actionable internal requirements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of customer strategies, fleet plans, and market dynamics to proactively anticipate future needs and opportunities.
  • Lead customer engagement activities, including executive-level meetings, business reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Ensure alignment between customer expectations and Collins Aerospace capabilities, managing risks and addressing issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Represent Collins Aerospace professionally at industry events, customer forums, and strategic engagements.

Requirement:

  • Requires deep management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across multiple related departments.
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
