HBM Process Engineer

Responsibility
Support cross-functional teams (Process, QE, PIE, Assembly) to monitor and improve end-to-end process quality and yield performance
Learn and assist in analyzing process data to identify trends, abnormalities, and potential risks impacting manufacturing
Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for process issues, with guidance from senior engineers
Support implementation of process control strategies (e.g., inline monitoring, excursion control, basic FMEA concepts)
Work with different modules to understand FE-to-package interaction and impact on product quality (e.g., WLR, reliability)
Assist in driving continuous improvement projects to enhance yield, cycle time, or manufacturing efficiency
Collaborate with global teams to share learnings and support alignment of best practices
Prepare analysis reports and present findings to team members and stakeholders
Minimum Required Qualifications / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Materials, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical)
Fundamental understanding of semiconductor manufacturing or materials/process engineering
Internship or academic project experience related to semiconductor, manufacturing, or data analysis is a plus
Strong learning agility and problem-solving mindset
Must Have Technical Skills
Basic understanding of semiconductor process flow and manufacturing concepts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with interest in data-driven decision making
Familiarity with data analysis tools (Excel, JMP, Python, or similar) is a plus
Ability to perform structured root cause analysis with guidance
Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate across functions
Preferred Skills
Exposure to semiconductor processes, advanced packaging, or lab research through coursework or internships
Basic knowledge of statistics, DOE, or quality concepts (SPC, FMEA)
Experience in team-based projects or cross-functional collaboration (school project / internship)
Self-driven and proactive attitude with strong ownership mindset
Interest in advanced packaging / HBM technology is a plus
