Securities Services P&A Finance Data Analytics Senior Associate
As a Securities Services P&A Finance Analytics Senior Associate, you will partner with Finance and Technology stakeholders to deliver high-impact, data-driven insights that support CFO-level decisioning. You will design, build, and continuously improve BI dashboards and analytics solutions end-to-end from requirements gathering and KPI definition through data validation, visualization design, and production deployment, leveraging tools such as Tableau, Sigma, and Power BI. Your work will be enabled by modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks and comparable technologies) and will focus on producing clear, actionable management data visualization, advanced analytics, and reporting.
Within the Financial Analysis domain, you will analyze, prepare, and reconcile accounting and technical data, investigate variances, and ensure integrity and alignment to source systems and finance controls. You will also contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and financial control activities, and help deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reporting. In addition, you will support special projects and time-sensitive analytics requests across the broader team.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and define the data (and metadata) required to enable business execution, performance measurement, and analytics
- Plan, manage, and deliver end-to-end solutions for data infrastructure and scalable data products
- Analyze, prepare, and reconcile accounting and technical datasets; investigate anomalies and ensure consistency with source systems and established controls
- Develop financial business cases to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions
- Monitor and report on key metrics, drive data quality improvements, and help shape future analytics and reporting needs within the product area
- Build and maintain performance scorecards and dashboards; create presentations and deliver financial insights and ad hoc analyses to senior management
- Perform variance and driver analysis; communicate clear, concise commentary on changes versus prior forecasts, plans, and budgets
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a technical discipline
- 6+ years of relevant experience in MIS, Business Intelligence, and/or Analytics roles
- Strong analytical programming capability utilizing SQL, Python, and/or R skills, including the ability to write complex queries; solid understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Experience with one or more BI tools and database/platform ecosystems such as AWS or Databricks; and Oracle / SQL Server / Teradata; Tableau / Cognos / BusinessObjects; SAS / R
- Proficiency in key data and BI concepts including ETL, data modeling, reporting automation, and dashboard development
- Self-starter with strong collaboration skills and clear, professional communication; proactive about seeking input when needed
- Ability to take direction, apply feedback, and independently drive problem solving to completion
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to connect analysis to broader business outcomes
- Curious, diligent, and comfortable constructively challenging assumptions to improve outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to deliver special projects with limited lead time, ambiguity, or incomplete information
Excellent time management and prioritization skills; ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, planning & analysis, and/or management reporting
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in IT, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred. Exposure to LLM/AI-enabled solutions is a plus
- Strong BI/reporting skills in Tableau, Sigma, Alteryx; experience migrating BI solutions is an advantage
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, or other cloud data warehouses
