Role Overview


The Lead Consultant - NSPB FP&A Solutions is a senior-level consulting role responsible
for leading Oracle NetSuite Planning and Budgeting solution implementations. This role
provides high-quality solution leadership to customers and project teams, with
responsibility for guiding implementation workstreams, owning key design decisions,
and ensuring NSPB solutions are delivered within the constraints of scope, time, and
budget.


This individual serves as a trusted advisor and thought leader for customers, using deep
FP&A, planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and technology experience to guide
customers toward leading practices. The role requires strong functional and technical
knowledge of NSPB / PBCS / EPM Planning, the ability to influence customer leadership,
and the confidence to lead complex implementation decisions across business processes
and solution delivery.


Preferred Skills / Qualifications
· Significant experience performing full lifecycle implementations of Oracle
NetSuite Planning and Budgeting solutions, PBCS, EPBCS, Hyperion Planning,
Oracle EPM Planning, or comparable enterprise planning platforms.
· Full end-to-end NSPB / PBCS implementation experience.
· Strong knowledge of NSPB / PBCS out-of-the-box cubes, application frameworks,
configuration options, and implementation leading practices.
· Extensive hands-on experience designing and developing NSPB / PBCS planning
forms, scripts, business rules, reports, dashboards, Smart View templates, and
related planning artifacts.
· Sound knowledge of financial planning, workforce planning, capital budgeting,
forecasting, reporting, and FP&A operating models.
· Technical background with hands-on experience in NSPB / PBCS data
management, metadata management, data loads, integrations, and EPM
Automate.
· Strong understanding of NetSuite ERP financial structures, including chart of
accounts, subsidiaries, departments, classes, locations, customers, vendors, items,
employees, custom segments, saved searches, and financial reporting structures.
· Ability to evaluate customer requirements and recommend leading-practice
solutions that balance business needs, scope, maintainability, and project
constraints.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Accounting, Finance, Management
Information Systems, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree or postgraduate
coursework is a plus.
· Deep capacity for influencing customers and guiding them toward industry and
solution leading practices.
· Excellent communication, facilitation, executive presence, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and deadlines
simultaneously.
· Passion for helping customers find creative ways to more effectively run their
businesses.
· Outstanding client-facing skills with a history of building effective relationships
with customers, colleagues, and project teams.
· Ability to independently organize and perform complex work with minimal
guidance and direction.
· Proactive, results-oriented mindset with a can-do attitude in meeting critical
deadlines.
· Prior consulting experience strongly preferred.
· Prior team leadership, solution leadership, or management experience preferred.
· NetSuite, Oracle EPM, PBCS, EPBCS, or Oracle certification is a plus.
· Ability to travel on a modest to moderate basis, as appropriate.


Experience Profile

  • The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of experience relevant to this position, including at
    least 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership, solution leadership, or
    management experience is preferred.
  • The candidate should have product or technical expertise relevant to NSPB, PBCS, Oracle
    EPM Planning, Hyperion Planning, FP&A transformation, or enterprise performance
    management. They should be comfortable communicating with both business and
    technical audiences, building rapport with customer teams, mentoring consultants, and
    using strong influencing and negotiation skills to guide complex engagements.

  • A successful Lead Consultant - NSPB FP&A Solutions is a senior, customer-facing delivery
    leader who can own the NSPB implementation approach, guide the project team,
    challenge assumptions, and help customers make practical planning and budgeting
    decisions.
  • This person combines hands-on NSPB expertise with strong FP&A knowledge, consulting
    judgment, customer leadership, and the ability to deliver high-quality planning solutions
    within project constraints. They are not positioned as a support resource; they are
    expected to lead solution design, own implementation quality, influence stakeholders,
    mentor team members, and drive customer success across the full lifecycle of NSPB
    engagements.

Responsibilities Include

Lead all phases of Oracle NetSuite Planning and Budgeting solution
implementations, including business alignment workshops, discovery, solution
design, configuration, testing, validation, data migration, cutover planning, and
go-live readiness.
· Serve as the Lead Consultant for NSPB implementation engagements, ensuring the
solution is designed and configured according to Oracle NetSuite leading
practices.
· Analyze customer business needs and translate FP&A, accounting, reporting, and
operational planning requirements into scalable NSPB solution designs.
· Lead customer workshops with finance, accounting, FP&A, executive, and
technical stakeholders to confirm business processes, requirements, assumptions,
design decisions, risks, and project scope.
· Design and configure NSPB planning models, including dimensions, hierarchies,
metadata, forms, dashboards, reports, business rules, calculations, KPIs, security,
and integration processes.
· Provide Oracle NetSuite consulting expertise by applying previous experience in
Financial Planning and Analysis functions, planning processes, and enterprise
performance management technology solutions.
· Act as a thought leader and advisor to customers by embedding leading practices
into planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to drive a high level
of customer satisfaction.
· Lead solution design and implementation activities to ensure high-quality,
integrated software solutions are delivered within project constraints.
· Exercise judgment and business acumen when selecting methods and techniques
to deliver functional and technical solutions for non-routine and complex
customer requirements.
· Guide customers through NSPB standard functionality and advise on practical,
maintainable solution approaches that minimize unnecessary customization.
· Own and lead design decisions across planning areas such as financial planning,
workforce planning, revenue planning, expense planning, capital budgeting,
forecasting, balance sheet planning, cash flow planning, and management
reporting.
· Lead data strategy and data migration discussions, including metadata alignment,
NetSuite ERP source data, saved searches, actuals loading, budget loading,
exchange rates, trial balance validation, and recurring data load processes.
· Provide guidance on NSPB / PBCS out-of-the-box cubes and application structures,
including configuration, design, and testing of custom objects, forms, scripts,
business rules, and interfaces where appropriate.
· Lead configuration and review of NSPB planning forms, Smart View templates,
reports, dashboards, scripts, business rules, and related artifacts.
· Provide hands-on expertise with NSPB / PBCS data management, metadata loads,
data loads, validation processes, and EPM Automate where applicable.
· Partner with project managers and delivery leadership to manage workstream
scope, project risks, timeline dependencies, customer obligations, decision logs,
and escalation items.
· Provide direction, coaching, mentoring, and quality oversight to project team
members and consultants.
· Effectively influence customer leadership on key design, process, and delivery
decisions.
· Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities,
extensions, and optimization needs where appropriate.
· Collaborate with consulting sales and delivery teams by providing domain
expertise during scoping, solution reviews, and customer discussions.
· Resolve complex customer design and implementation issues by recommending
and implementing practical solutions.
· Demonstrate expertise across multiple business processes and the ability to assess
solution design decisions based on cross-functional and downstream impacts.
· Guide customers through UAT planning, test scenario definition, validation
expectations, issue triage, defect resolution, and go-live readiness criteria.
· Lead enablement strategy for administrators and business users, including
training approach, adoption planning, process handoff, and maintainable solution
practices.
· Ensure the implemented NSPB solution is sustainable after go-live, including clear
ownership of planning-cycle administration, metadata updates, recurring loads,
reporting updates, security maintenance, and ongoing business process
ownership.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

CA: Hiring Range in CAD from: $93,900 to $143,900 per annum.
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $187,000 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.


Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
