We link business strategy to technology execution by shaping and operationalizing the Enterprise Business Architecture Foundation - anchored in the Enterprise Business Capability Model (EBCM), customer journeys and personas, and a modern enterprise meta-model - enabling clearer investment decisions, stronger governance, and faster digital transformation. Operating at the intersection of strategy, design, and delivery, we align business vision, product direction, and technology outcomes into an end-to-end model that drives consistency, reuse, and enterprise-wide decision velocity.This Senior Principal role is a senior individual-contributor and domain authority who owns Enterprise Business Architecture for Eaton's enabling functions - Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and Compliance. Working through influence and deep expertise rather than as a people leader, the person partners with function, product, engineering, and data leaders to develop enabling-function technology strategies and standards, function-specific architecture blueprints and patterns, and to advance business process management practices across Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance. He/She provides architecture guidance and governance for initiatives planned and executed within these enabling functions and analyzes technology and market trends to determine the potential impact of emerging technologies (including Generative AI and process automation in the Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance space) on the enterprise. This person is also responsible for evaluating the requirements of a business or IT request and then architecting, designing, and shaping the foundational technology and architecture frameworks for enterprise-wide solutions that support that request.The expected annual salary range for this role is $165000 - $242000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: Enterprise Business Architecture Leadership & Strategic Influence (Enabling Functions)•    Serve as a senior thought partner and domain expert to Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance leaders, translating complex business, product, and technology strategies into clear architectural narratives that guide enterprise decisions•    Shape and socialize the Enterprise Business Capability Model (EBCM) for the enabling functions through compelling storytelling, ensuring alignment across Product, Engineering, Technology, Operations, and Finance, HR, Legal, and Compliance organizations•    Support the evolution of the EBCM, capability taxonomies, value streams, and cross-enterprise operating frameworks that link enabling-function strategy to execution•    Partner with Enterprise Architecture to align enabling-function business capabilities with company domain, certified APIs, data models, applications, and integration patternsEnterprise Modernization & Complex Use Case Enablement•    Lead the business architecture for high-impact enabling-function use cases including finance transformation, HR and workforce platform modernization, legal and compliance process simplification, source-to-pay optimization, multiyear investment planning, M&A process...
