A Day in the Life

The Principal Capital Funds Specialist is responsible for identifying, analysing, securing, and implementing financial resources from European, national and regional funding programs to support investment, development, and system-level projects within the healthcare sector. In addition, the role actively drives the identification of business opportunities across the portfolio by leveraging synergies between Medtronic product lines, and supports the development of more complex, multi-source funding structures to enable sustainable business growth and market access for MDT in the Czech Republic.

The role combines strategic and operational responsibilities, integrating analytical, project management, and cross-sector collaboration competencies at the interface of the public and private sectors.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Identify, assess, and monitor European, national, regional, and local funding opportunities to support healthcare investments and strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze funding programs, calls for proposals, regulatory requirements, and strategic documentation to evaluate project feasibility and funding eligibility.
  • Provide expert guidance in the preparation, review, and optimization of funding applications, ensuring compliance with funding and policy requirements.
  • Lead and support projects throughout their lifecycle, including implementation, monitoring, reporting, risk management, audits, and fund utilization.
  • Deliver training, workshops, and advisory support to healthcare stakeholders, building capabilities in funding, project management, and investment planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, public administration, funding institutions, KOLs, and public-private partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on strategic healthcare initiatives, contributing to healthcare innovation, system resilience, and long-term organizational objectives.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of European, national, and regional funding mechanisms and healthcare financing programs.
  • Proven ability to analyze funding applications, strategic documents, financial data, and supporting documentation.
  • Experience working with public administration, healthcare organizations, and stakeholders across the public and private sectors.
  • Advanced analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives end-to-end.
  • Strong communication, training, facilitation, and advisory skills, with fluency in the local language and English.
  • Curiosity about healthcare innovation and willingness to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, service, and regional teams.

Pay range / Rango salarial / Intervalo salarial /Fascia retributiva / Tranche de salaire / Gehaltsband / Salaribereik:  Czechia: 1,224,000.00 CZK - 1,836,000.00 CZK | 

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
