Now Hiring: Environmental Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team and support operations across our facilities. Reporting to the EHS Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring environmental compliance, supporting plant operations, and driving continuous improvement in environmental, health, and safety performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports, including DMRs, TSCA, SARA, NPDES, Title V, RCRA, and RMP
- Manage environmental permits, renewals, and compliance testing activities
- Support Process Safety Management (PSM), Management of Change (MOC), and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)
- Lead environmental incident investigations and maintain compliance documentation
- Coordinate internal and external EHS audits and maintain Responsible Care Management System (RCMS) documentation
- Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste shipments and support product stewardship initiatives
- Develop and maintain EHS procedures, training programs, and compliance records
- Partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to promote a strong safety and environmental culture
- Participate in emergency planning activities and serve as the Radiation Safety Officer
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field with at least 5 years of chemical plant experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA requirements, hazardous materials handling, and environmental compliance
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
- Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory agencies
- Experience in PSM-regulated facilities
- Strong knowledge of EPA, state environmental, and DOT regulations
