What will you do?
Under the general direction, manage and administer agreements to establish policy, material storage, spare parts, identification, dispatch, and distribution. Design an inventory control system, kanban installation, storage, and classification of items.
How will you do it?
Maintain equipment assigned to your department in good condition.
Work with Purchasing, Planning, Production, and Warehouse areas to support the resolution of situations that arise.
Daily perform coordination functions of sending and receiving materials regarding transactions in the system (data entry and location).
Direct team activities to meet production goals and maintain efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
Control costs within budget levels, minimize scrap and rework costs.
Anticipate and react to production problems or delays, material shortages, and equipment malfunctions.
Provide technical assistance for equipment malfunctions and expedite repairs.
Work with production to ensure materials are delivered to assembly in a timely manner.
Supervise, evaluate, and train the workgroup.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business administration, logistics, or related field is preferred.
5 years of experience in a management position in warehouse, logistics, or materials superintendent within the manufacturing industry.
Strong background in planning, international logistics, inventory management, and ensuring proper administration of warehouse operations.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a must.
Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and strategic decision-making skills.
