Accountabilities:
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with country and program leadership teams to design and execute market-shaping strategies across multiple health portfolios.
- Provide senior-level thought leadership as part of the Global Markets senior leadership team, contributing to strategic direction and organizational priorities.
- Co-lead the design and evolution of an effective, “fit-for-purpose” operating model aligned with cross-functional and country teams.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a globally distributed, high-performing team across multiple regions, ensuring delivery against program objectives.
- Oversee budgets and potentially manage or co-manage large program grants and related financial resources.
- Lead complex negotiations with suppliers and partners to secure access-focused agreements and market interventions.
- Shape and execute strategies that advance global market access initiatives and strengthen institutional influence in global health ecosystems.
- Support business development efforts, including donor engagement, fundraising, and strategic partnership development.
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in life sciences, including pharmaceuticals and/or diagnostics, with strong exposure to product development, commercialization, or access strategy.
- At least 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing teams, with demonstrated ability to develop, mentor, and retain high-performing and diverse talent.
- Strong expertise in pharmaceutical and diagnostic markets, particularly in emerging or resource-limited settings.
- Proven negotiation skills with a track record of delivering high-impact agreements or access-focused deals.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, both qualitative and quantitative, applied in complex, evolving environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage partnerships across governments, donors, multilaterals, and private sector actors.
- Experience managing budgets, grants, and multi-stakeholder projects with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to operate effectively across diverse cultural and professional contexts.
- Willingness to travel internationally (30–50%) and work across global time zones.
