Our full stack engineers are the ones who can follow a feature all the way through: fromthe data model, to the API, to the screen a founder trusts with their business.That doesn't mean being equally deep everywhere. Most of our full stack engineers have a home base - backend or frontend - and range outward from it. We're hiring for that shape.What you'll actually doOwn features end-to-end: shape solutions with product and design, build across the API andthe UI, ship to production to create outcomes, not just deliver ticketsLean into your specialism - whether that's backend architecture, data modelling andperformance, or frontend architecture, accessibility and user experience - and act as thego-to person for it on your teamDesign and develop backend services using Python and Django, including the data models and RESTful APIs that power our financial productsBuild high-quality, reusable frontend features using TypeScript and ReactWrite clean, testable code with strong test coverage across the stack (pytest on thebackend; Storybook/Chromatic, Playwright and Vitest on the frontend)Participate in code reviews on both sides of the stack in order to share knowledge and improve the quality of our solutionsMonitor and maintain production systems, ensuring reliability, performance and securityWho thrives hereYou should be comfortable making and defending decisions about the experience you’re building, while remaining open to feedback and alternative approaches. You'll need to balance technical excellence with business needs and help guide the team toward good solutions that elevate the experience as quickly as possible.You excel at stakeholder management and can effectively communicate technical concepts tonon-technical audiences. You're proactive in identifying and addressing potential issuesbefore they become problems.
