Under general supervision of the Director of Ophthalmology, performs Ophthalmic care for examination/treatment. In addition to adult patients, comfort with seeing pediatric patients from 12-18 years old is preferable. Provides assistance to General clinic, ensuring steady patient flow through clinic area. May perform other basic or specialized technical vision measurements as requested. Completes all relevant medical documentation as required. Job requires providing patient care. Base salary for this position is $142,399k.

-Prior work experience of two years is desired in order to gain familiarity on-the-job with administration of ophthalmic testing of patients. New optometrists require period of 30 days in order to orient themselves to techniques and work area.
-Good analytical skills necessary for handling ophthalmology patients during the provision of patient services. Must be able to appropriately assess the correct action to take during the administration of testing services.
-Good interpersonal manner important during patient testing and care in order to ensure harmonious provision of ophthalmological services.
