Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Watch in Palmetto, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access points, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. - Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and site personnel by following site-specific procedures, monitoring access activity, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and conditions.
- Monitor the movement of employees, visitors, and delivery drivers entering and leaving the location, helping to verify authorized access and directing questions to the appropriate site contacts.
- Support loss prevention and operational continuity by observing shipping and receiving areas, reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations, and communicating relevant updates to supervisors and site management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
