About the team and the role:

The Monetisation team plays a critical role in enhancing long-term value creation across buyers, sellers, and partners at eBay. This team works at the center of some of eBay’s most strategic and complex commercial priorities, helping shape pricing, promotions, and partner relationships that directly influence business performance and customer experience across global markets.

As a Monetization Specialist, you will support global pricing operations and help build scalable, standardized processes that enable effective execution across markets. Reporting to the Head of Monetization for US/CA/AU, you will partner closely with teams across Finance, Seller Management, Product, Analytics, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Service to deliver key initiatives and improve how pricing decisions are operationalized. This is a highly cross-functional role suited for someone who is analytical, commercially minded, and excited to work in a fast-moving international environment.

What you will accomplish:

  • Help design and implement scalable pricing processes that improve consistency, operational efficiency, and execution across global markets.

  • Drive cross-functional adoption of new tools, policies, and workflows through effective change management and partner alignment.

  • Evaluate business investments, reporting, and pricing requests using data-driven analysis, balancing GMV potential, seller maturity, buyer experience, and margin impact.

  • Partner with US seller management teams and other key partners to turn data insights into clear actions that support business growth and operational execution.

  • Identify and scope opportunities for product and process enhancements that improve pricing operations and decision-making.

  • Present insights, recommendations, and trade-offs to senior leaders in a clear, concise way, helping influence strategy and deliver measurable business impact.

What you will bring:

  • Experience in an analytical, commercial, pricing, strategy, marketplace, retail, or other data-driven business role.

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including Excel, scenario analysis, performance tracking, and interpreting complex data sets.

  • Commercial judgment and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate analysis into practical recommendations and business outcomes.

  • Proven ability to manage details and deliver initiatives from analysis through implementation in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and partner management skills, with experience working across functions, teams, and geographies.

  • Familiarity with ecommerce, marketplaces, promotions, seller economics, fees, or broader B2C business models; progress toward a Certified Frinancial Analyst or similar credential is a plus.
