Role Overview

CVS Health is seeking a Clinical Technology Product Owner to lead the Reporting team, responsible for delivering enterprise reporting, operational metrics, provider action insights and AI-powered reporting experiences across interoperability products.

This role requires a strategic Product Owner with a strong reporting and analytics vision—someone who can identify emerging business needs, ideate innovative reporting solutions, and define a long-term roadmap that transforms data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate can connect complex data sources, workflows, and platforms while building scalable reporting ecosystems that drive business decisions, operational excellence, and provider engagement.

This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of data platforms, healthcare workflows, operational reporting, analytics strategy, and AI-driven user experiences. Success in this role requires both strong execution skills and the ability to envision and shape the future of reporting and insights across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and champion the enterprise reporting vision and roadmap for interoperability products, ensuring capabilities evolve to meet business, operational, and customer needs.
  • Drive delivery of enterprise reporting and data platform capabilities, including data ingestion, transformation, quality controls, metric definitions, dashboards, self-service analytics, and reusable reporting services.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify reporting opportunities, generate new analytics concepts, and translate business questions into scalable reporting solutions.
  • Lead provider action reporting, TINHUB enablement, and AI-assisted reporting experiences that help users quickly answer business and operational questions.
  • Own and manage the team backlog, translating Product Manager priorities into well-defined user stories, clear acceptance criteria, and scalable, testable requirements.
  • Partner with Product Managers to ensure the backlog aligns to interoperability strategy, supports product OKRs, and reflects delivery feasibility, sequencing, and key trade-offs.
  • Manage cross-team and system dependencies to coordinate delivery, reduce risk, and support smooth release and adoption.
  • Collaborate across engineering, architecture, analytics, operations, and business teams to clarify requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and ensure solutions align with enterprise data standards and product outcomes.
  • Understand how provider actions, product workflows, TIN-level data, and operational events flow through systems, and define the work needed to make reporting complete, trusted, and scalable.
  • Define and track operational metrics across products, ensuring reporting outputs are reliable, actionable, and aligned to business outcomes.
  • Shape AI-enabled reporting experiences by defining user questions, data readiness needs, answer quality expectations, and feedback loops for continuous improvement.
  • Drive strong agile execution practices while fostering accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the team.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role in agile environments
  • Experience delivering large-scale data platforms, reporting products, analytics capabilities, or integration-driven data products
  • Strong ability to translate business and technical needs into structured, testable requirements
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams on end-to-end feature delivery
  • Ability to see how complex data, workflow, reporting, and platform components fit together and sequence delivery across multiple teams and dependencies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare payer or provider domains, especially operational reporting, provider engagement, utilization management, care management, quality, or clinical product analytics
  • Familiarity with provider actions, TIN-level reporting, clinical workflows, or provider-facing digital platforms.
  • Experience supporting data product adoption, reporting enablement, partner onboarding, provider onboarding, or analytics consumer readiness.
  • Understanding of data platform concepts, metric definition, data quality, reporting governance, APIs, system integration, and downstream consumption challenges
  • Experience or familiarity with healthcare data exchange, reporting architectures, interoperability standards, or analytics platforms
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience with AI-enabled reporting, natural language reporting assistants, semantic layers, or reporting question-answer experiences is a plus
  • Curiosity: collaborates with business partners to understand their strategy, problems, and goals; works with senior leaders to identify opportunities to implement solutions.
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, story acceptance, UAT support, and release readiness.
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills; capacity to quickly build and maintain credible relationships at varying levels of the organization simultaneously.
