Join GE Vernova’s Technical Learning Office and play a key role in modernizing how we scale technical expertise. As the Digital Learning Specialist, you will focus on creating, editing, and scaling high-quality digital learning content that supports self-paced, autonomous development across our global engineering workforce.
You will transform complex engineering topics into clear, engaging, and reusable video and interactive assets. By leveraging AI-enabled content creation tools, you will accelerate time-to-competency for new hires and experienced engineers alike. This role is essential to our Engineer 2030 strategy, specifically in developing "Amp Workflow" micro-learning modules that automate daily tasks and democratize access to expertise.
This position is ideal for a creative, tech-forward professional who is passionate about instructional design, multimedia storytelling, and the practical application of AI to solve engineering knowledge gaps.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Digital Content Creation

Create, edit, and scale high-quality digital learning content, including video, animations, and interactive assets, that simplify complex engineering concepts for a broad, self-paced audience.

AI-Enabled Content Development

Leverage modern, AI-enabled tools to accelerate the production of training materials. Use these tools to transform technical documentation and expert insights into engaging micro-learning assets.

Amp Workflow Architecture

Design and produce "Amp Workflow" micro-learning content. Focus on creating short, actionable, and reusable digital modules that help engineers automate daily tasks and integrate AI into their standard work.

Scalable Learning Delivery

Develop assets that expand the reach of our technical training portfolio, reducing the reliance on live instructor-led sessions and enabling self-paced development across diverse global time zones.

Content Modernization

Take existing technical curriculum and modernize it for a digital-first audience. Ensure all content is searchable, up-to-date, and highly accessible via our internal learning platforms.

Program Support

Collaborate with the broader Technical Learning team to identify high-priority topics for digitization. Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate their technical knowledge into accurate, clear, and compelling digital narratives.

Quality and Accessibility

Ensure all digital learning assets meet GE Vernova’s standards for technical accuracy, quality, and usability. Manage the maintenance of the digital content library, ensuring it remains a vital, high-traffic resource for the engineering community.

Performance Tracking

Monitor the usage and effectiveness of digital content through platform analytics. Gather user feedback to iterate on content design, ensuring the learning experience continuously improves and meets the needs of the 2030 workforce.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Multimedia/Digital Media, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital content creation, e-learning design, or technical training.
  • 2+ years’ experience in modern content creation tools (e.g., video editing software, interactive authoring tools, or presentation design suites).
  • 1+ year experience with AI-enabled productivity tools (e.g., Generative AI for content drafting or automation).

Eligibility Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel to core US and global hubs to support workshops, assessments, knowledge transfer sessions, and stakeholder meetings; about 15%.

  • Ability and willingness to support occasional off-hours work to address urgent business or program needs.

Desired Characteristics

  • A "digital-first" mindset with a passion for transforming how engineering teams learn and share knowledge.
  • Experience with "Amp" or similar AI-augmented platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage content timelines and production schedule; strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical ideas simply.
  • Creative problem solver who looks for ways to use technology to automate or improve learning outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while collaborating effectively with a distributed team with a strong attention to detail and a high standard for quality in technical documentation and visual media.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and learning new software tools quickly.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
