As a Consulting Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading telecom consulting projects from planning and scoping through delivery and completion. You will work directly with customer business and IT stakeholders, internal delivery teams, offshore resources, partners, and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role requires a solid understanding of OSS/BSS domains within the communications industry, particularly Charging & Billing, Oracle Service and Order Management, and Unified Inventory Management. You will be expected to manage complex engagements, define project objectives, oversee delivery milestones, manage budget and resource allocation, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to high quality standards.

You will also play an active role in pre-sales and delivery planning activities, including scope definition, estimation, solution defense, timeline negotiation, and presentation to senior stakeholders, including CxO-level audiences. The position requires strong communication skills in Japanese and English, experience with standard project management methodologies, and the ability to work effectively across onsite, remote, and multi-vendor environments.

  • Lead end-to-end project management for telecom OSS/BSS consulting and implementation projects.
  • Engage directly with customer business and IT stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Manage complex delivery engagements involving internal teams, customers, partners, vendors, and offshore resources.
  • Oversee project planning, scoping, estimation, budgeting, resource allocation, delivery milestones, and day-to-day execution.
  • Drive delivery across telecom OSS/BSS domains, including Charging & Billing, Order Management, OSM, UIM, inventory management, discovery, and reconciliation models.
  • Support process flow analysis and automation requirements for network build, order management, and billing-related solutions.
  • Prepare and manage work breakdown structures, project schedules, project status reports, risk management plans, and issue escalation processes.
  • Defend proposed solutions, estimates, timelines, and deliverables with customers and senior stakeholders.
  • Present project updates, risks, and recommendations to various stakeholders, including executive and CxO-level audiences.
  • Manage contract, scope, risks, escalations, budget, revenue, cost tracking, resource ramp-up, and resource ramp-down activities.
  • Oversee day-to-day technical operations, including task assignments, delivery progress, and personnel review.
  • Ensure project resources submit timesheets and expenses accurately and on time, and review project financial inputs as required.
  • Participate in project health checks, audits, and quality reviews, ensuring follow-up actions are properly addressed.
  • Support business opportunities such as change requests, RFP responses, project extensions, and pre-sales activities.
  • Utilize project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Communicate fluently in Japanese and English, including translating or reviewing project documentation as needed.
