Accountabilities:
- Lead analysis of disability experience trends to identify key drivers, emerging patterns, risks, and opportunities that influence pricing and business strategies.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain actuarial pricing methodologies, models, and analytical tools to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Translate actuarial findings into practical recommendations that support product, underwriting, finance, and business objectives.
- Monitor financial results, explain performance drivers, and deliver reporting and insights to support ongoing business management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align actuarial analysis with broader organizational priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on disability insurance analytics, providing guidance and technical expertise to internal stakeholders.
- Apply continuous improvement practices to strengthen analytical processes, tools, documentation, and reporting capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline.
- 7+ years of actuarial experience with demonstrated expertise in insurance analytics.
- Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA/FSA) designation required.
- Experience analyzing disability insurance experience data and converting findings into actionable business insights.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities with excellent actuarial judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with actuarial and analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, Power BI, or similar platforms preferred.
- Knowledge of predictive analytics, statistical modeling, and advanced analytical techniques is a plus.
- Experience presenting recommendations and insights to senior leadership is preferred.
- Competitive base salary range of approximately $158,800 - $238,200 annually, depending on location, experience, skills, and qualifications.
